How the recognition works

1

Your certificate

Issued by CAS under the accredited scheme, bearing the EGAC + IAF marks.

2

CAS — EGAC CAB 012418

Audited and monitored by EGAC against ISO/IEC 17021-1.

3

EGAC — IAF MLA signatory

Egypt's national accreditation body, peer-evaluated and an IAF MLA member.

4

Recognised in 100+ economies

Through the IAF Multilateral Recognition Arrangement worldwide.

Nationally, CAS is also registered with the Egyptian Organization for Standardization & Quality (EOS) as a certification body (No. CB176), under Minister of Trade & Industry decree 415/2010.

Accredited vs. “By CAS”

We never blur the line. You can always tell an accredited certificate from a non-accredited one.

Accredited

The six standards in our EGAC scope (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 22000, 50001, 22301). These certificates carry the EGAC and IAF MLA marks and are published to IAF CertSearch.

Recognised in 100+ economies worldwide.

Issued “By CAS”

Other schemes we offer (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 37001, ISO 13485, ISO/IEC 42001) are issued under CAS’s own authority. They carry only the CAS mark — never EGAC or IAF.

Clearly labelled on the certificate and on CertSearch.

Accreditation FAQ

Is CAS accredited?+
Yes. CAS Conformity Assessment Services (LLC) is accredited by EGAC — the Egyptian Accreditation Council — as a certification body under ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 (accreditation certificate 012418A, schedule 012418B). First accredited on 28 November 2025; valid to 27 November 2029.
What does “IAF MLA recognised” mean?+
EGAC is a signatory to the IAF Multilateral Recognition Arrangement. A CAS certificate accredited by EGAC is therefore recognised as equivalent by accreditation bodies in 100+ economies worldwide — certified once, accepted everywhere.
Which standards are within the accredited scope?+
Six management-system standards: ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment), ISO 45001 (occupational health & safety), ISO 22000 (food safety), ISO 50001 (energy) and ISO 22301 (business continuity).
What is the difference between accredited and “By CAS” certificates?+
Accredited certificates (the six standards above) carry the EGAC and IAF MLA marks. Other schemes we offer are issued under CAS's own authority, marked “By CAS”, and carry only the CAS mark — never the EGAC or IAF marks — so the two are always clearly distinguishable.
How can I verify a CAS certificate?+
Use the CAS certificate verifier on this site and cross-check on the IAF CertSearch global registry. You can also confirm CAS's accreditation status directly on the EGAC and EOS public registers.
In which countries is the accreditation valid?+
The EGAC scope lists Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Jordan, Italy and the United Arab Emirates — and IAF MLA recognition extends acceptance worldwide.
